Stuck with where to begin? Then consider hiring an event planner! No matter what your budget, be it £5,000 or £20,000,

“There are some great venues out there that with a little imagination can be totally transformed”, says Danielle, “but most of all we love creating the wedding people dream of, all those Pinterest images that brides and grooms thought were unachievable, actually aren’t.”

With an extensive little black book of wedding suppliers, they are well connected within Lincolnshire and have worked with many cake makers, marquee companies, bespoke wedding stationers, celebrants, photographers, florists – the list goes on. They also have a veritable treasure trove of wedding accessories, including an endless supply of pretty China (220 tea cups and saucers and 100 dinner plates!), props, vintage glassware, chair sashes, centre pieces and décor all available to hire.

“If we don’t stock the items then we will source them for you, it all depends on the theme the couple go for, creating a unique look is what we thrive on.”

Not only can the talented duo design the look and feel of your wedding, they are also familiar with venues throughout the county to suggest alternative options. Gemma explains,

“We were recently looking for a great space for a photo shoot and immediately thought of the Brew Haus in Lincoln, the more we thought about it the more we realised what an awesome wedding venue it would make. After a little persuading the guys at the Brew Haus agreed and it is now available as a wedding reception venue”.

The planning service starts with meeting the couple.

“We discuss and exchange lots of ideas and images, most brides have a good idea of what they want to create but don’t know where to start. That is where we come in, we help couples to understand exactly what look they want to achieve and how they want their day to feel. A simple fact finding session- what type of venue they have chosen, how many guests, what time of year and what vision they have for their day – also gives us a sense of the Bride and Groom’s personality and provides a mutual vision of what they want to achieve.”

Danielle talks us through the process from here.

“From this consultation, we go away and create several mood boards which will consist of colour palletes, textures, materials and style influences. This will create the direction of choices we make throughout the planning process. We liaise with other suppliers such as their chosen cake maker and florist to keep the design consistent throughout. We then start sourcing for props from charity shops, auctions and high street shops, we search for fabrics as we make all our own table runners so the couple can choose from hundreds of fabric samples.

Approximately 3-4 months before the wedding we complete a site visit to walk through every element of the wedding design, we discuss prop placement and any elements to add or change. We then draw up a schedule for the set upon the day so all runs smoothly. We arrive at the venue bright and early on the day (or the day before if we feel it is necessary), we liaise with the venues wedding co-ordinator and all the other suppliers and each prop will be set up with precision, every table will be dressed with creativity, love and flair. We offer complete peace of mind to ensure it’s just as they envisioned, so that they can relax and enjoy the day. We will also come back the next day to take all the décor down, whilst the newly weds enjoy their first day of marriage.”

Hiring a wedding planner can take the stress out of planning, if your time is short then let Gemma and Danielle do the searching and thinking for you. Or if you are happy to plan your own wedding but want an expert to create the running order and ensure that everything unfolds smoothly on the day, then they can offer their expertise and coordination to ensure it all runs like clockwork.
